Clive Ball

Elder

I am very much a Neath (Melyn) boy!! and thankful that I get to live in such a beautiful coast and country kind of place.

I have been a Jesus follower for over fifty years and have had the privilege of serving in church based ministry in various ways over the years.

In the early 80’s I stepped out of Wales for a while to undertake full time study at The London School of Theology (formally London Bible College) gaining a BA Degree in Theology and Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Care.

Although semi-retired now, most of my career has been in the Social Services and Education Sector.  I have been with NPTC Group of Colleges, my current employer, for over twenty-two years.  During this time, I have enjoyed a variety of roles such as, Business and Development and Lecturing (Business Administration/Marketing).  I am currently Senior Officer: Projects and Funding, part of the Group’s Commercial Team.

I am thankful for my family.  I have two very grown up children and seven grandkids, all of whom are immensely special and keep me busy in all sorts of ways.  Talking about family, I mustn’t forget Molly my faithful cavachon dog who always brings a smile (and often sloppy lick) to my face!

In my spare time I like to spend time with family and friends and when weather permits, escape in my campervan and enjoy the great outdoors!!

It is an honour to serve as Elder at Bethel Elim, a church which has shaped my life in so many ways and so holds a very special place in my heart. In fact, it’s the place where I started my individual walk with Jesus aged just 14.

I am excited about what the future holds for Bethel and the community we are called to serve and most importantly all the wonderful people who call Bethel their spiritual home.

Favourite scripture:  Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope!
