Jill Anderson

X Stream Children & Youth Coordinator, Deacon,

I was born in and grew up in Nottingham, until moving to South Wales in 2005 at the start of our full-time church ministry. We pastored here for two years when Ian was the assistant before moving to Pontypridd for three years to pastor our own church.

We really did not expect to come back to Neath but God had very clear other plans for us.

Ian has been married to me for forty years (Who knows where the time goes) and we have two lovely (but I would say that) grown up daughters both of whom are actively involved in church life. They both married Welshmen and so we now have four grand-children three girls and a boy.

I worked as a church administrator for many years both in Nottingham and since being in Wales.

I enjoy knitting when I can find the time, crocheting and eating chocolate. The latter activity I have found, does not work well with the other two. When time and money allows we enjoy cruising (on a ship not car for clarification) together and travel.

The only time now I hear my full name is when Ian is annoyed with me and calls me ‘Jillian’. He also loves reminding people it’s Jillian with a ‘J’ not  Jillian with a ‘G” cause Jillian with a ‘G’ is Gillian…
