Apostle Emilio Sevilla shares the word this morning. Reading from Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
Do we believe in ourselves to be planning for the future?
Where do you want to be in 2021?!
God says “He knows…” ONLY HIM.
Are we getting advice about marriage, life matters from other people because ‘they know more’.
Only God knows. Listen to him!
1. Objectives
The magnet that takes us to the future. The energy to go every day, to go forward. It is how we become unique and take control of our time. We can choose our battles, we can choose what we learn.
Godly objectives are there to mark our journey. Start the day with an objective, to give it significance.
2. Opportunity
We need to develop self knowledge, alongside self discipline.
Are we being led by conformity? Following the crowd.
Should we not be taking a word, something spoken, something sung to say “Yes, Lord, that’s what I’ve been waiting for.”
What are we willing to die for?!
The opportunity can come in may different ways. You will wait for the opportunity. If not the opportunity will be the same as yesterday. In every opportunity there is a need for sacrifice.
3. Obstacles
Obstacles will test our ability, our integrity, your commitment, our values. It will help create new habits.
We have 365 days to move forward. Are we settling, because we are comfortable?
We have to do something about it. Fear that appears, will magnify everything.
Fear let’s us lose the opportunity through our excuses and our past.
4. Obedience
The opportunities allow us to be obedient to listen to God and take the objectives to be able to look back in a years time to say “Yes, God!”.
Obedience is the legs to self belief and trust.
It will be from the right habit and priorities we create from self discipline.
Obedience is key and serious business.
Lack of obedience will decide the type of year that we will have.
Once we put a goal in our life, we need to ask why? The reasons will bring the intentions from our heart.
To be who God made you to be, is to enjoy the future and hope he has for me.
