Pastor Ian shares from Matthew 15:15-22 in bringing context to the scriptures for our giving. Not just giving financially.

An offering was more than a monetary things. We are reminded that we are to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).

Purpose for tithe for the Iraelities was to bless the tabernacle.

10% of giving is not the financial responsibility, although for some that is the start.
God wants more, he wants you to give more of yourself to him.

No Christian should ever be coherced into believing that our financial giving is all that God requires or that he would be satisfied by nothing but our finances.

Romans 8:4 – We have been released from natural thinking, we have a new covenant with God.
Galatians 2:20 – When we go to God, we lay everything of ourselves before him including what is in our pockets.

“If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” – ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Our offering is a part of our spiritual worship.

We pray today that you would know the love of God. That whatever you have, you willingly give to him. Let your heart know the love of God, that in response you can give to him today.
