Richard Haslam brings a word this morning. Reading comes from 1 Peter 5:7-11.

Tough times will come, we can’t ignore them, we can’t miss them.

How we react, is our key in how we get through them and how long they last.

We know the story of Job, how he lost everything, family, livelihood. We don’t know how long he had suffered for. Yet, Job remain steadfast and strong in God.

Sometimes we try to get angry or revengeful in response. However God states that vengeance is his.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:10-12‬

Romans 13:1 – None of us have a problem authority, until we disagree with something. We are called to pray for those in Authority.

All of our situations and trials allows us to reach out & turn to God.
We make wrong choices, we try to find our own ways out.
God’s discipline allows us to work it through.

We pray that you would allow God to work in you, even during the most testing of times. That you would overcome and become stronger from it.
