Key Text: Malachi 3:16

We spend so much time in tradition and routine. Doing things the way we have always done them. When we do things the same, the way we have always done them we already know the outcome because we’ve seen it before.

What we need in this time is a Joshua 3 moment. The setting of this chapter sees Israel once again on the brink of the Promised Land … you have not passed this way before Joshua 3:4

Sanctify/consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” Sanctify/Consecrate’ means, to ‘set one’s self apart to God.’ We are to spiritually prepare ourselves for what God has in store for us.

Friday was officialy the start of meteorological Autumn as opposed to the Gregorian calendar autumn. – We are in a new cycle. Prepare people – for what God has in store for us. ‘Tomorrow’. Did you know that you and I have a tomorrow? God wants to do something wonderful.

Now is the time because the door of opportunity has been opened to us. Opportunity to share the gospel.

Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed His name.

A door of opportunity has opened, where we must learn to live out the gospel in this new paradigm in this new environment. An environment of change, uncertainty, anxiety and fear for many people. Change of monarchy, energy crisis and rising cost of living.

How do we navigate our hearts through the challenging experiences of life? The Queen had been a natural world constant for the last 70 years but everything comes to an end.

Psalm 37 (Mashup)

4Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart

5Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will act.

1Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers!

7fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices

2 for they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him;

3Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

6He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday.

How do we navigate our hearts through the challenges of an energy crisis and rising cost of living? Like Paul we resolve to preach the gospel, minister to the unsaved and the poor To be present in the moment amongst the people. – Market Cafe

‘Fear not Abram, I will be your shield.’ Genesis 15:1 Mission always requires courage, being missional is a marker of who we are as the people of God.

We have to position ourselves and be willing to put ourselves in uncomfortable places to be a witness.

There is a Difference between a promotion and a movement.

Promotions start big then gradually dwindles. Movements start small then grows bigger.

The time has come for us, the people of God to step up in this moment

Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed His name.
